Blue Monday, Jan. 18, 2021
Mid-January is a tough time and the third Monday of January is known as the “most depressing day of the year.” It’s dark, it’s cold and the credit card bills from holiday spending are arriving. Not only that, but what about 2020? It was something else! Join artists, poets and storytellers for an ode to both the struggle and the hope that we need in our darkest hours. Through powerful and inspiring performances we will honour the melancholy and welcome the new year with some optimism and anticipation. We’d love to hear your tale or reading for the open mic segment, but there is no obligation to actively participate. You’re more than welcome to sit back, relax and enjoy the variety show!
This program is open to residents of Calmar, Thorsby, Warburg, New Sarepta and rural Leduc County and professionals serving the County region. If folks from out of the area would like to participate, we put them on a waitlist and if we are able to accommodate them, we are more than happy to do so (plenty of space in this program, so it shouldn’t be an issue).
Please see poster attached and feel free to spread this word about this fun and interesting event!
